HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) Thomson is HACCP recognized by regulatory officials, third-party auditors and our customers. HACCP is used widely in the food industry. This systematic preventive approach to food safety addresses physical, chemical and biological hazards as a means of prevention by recognizing inherent risks in processes. It allows the handler to implement key actions, called Critical Control Points (CCPs), to reduce or eliminate the risk of the realized hazards. Due to the amount of food-based products Thomson Terminals handles daily, developing a comprehensive food quality system was critical in maintaining the integrity of our customers' products. This strategy is used throughout our customers' industries by adopting industry-specific quality systems in Pulp, Paper and Lumber, Retail, Automotive and High-Value industries. Along with our product quality systems, Thomson Terminals has taken a leadership role in being one of the first companies to receive their HACCP and C-TPAT certifications.

ACE (Automated Commercial Environment)(e-Manifest) is the commercial trade processing system developed by CBP (U.S. Customs and Border Protection) to facilitate legitimate trade and strengthen border security.
